Nancy picking olives, 2021. Watercolour on paper
3rd - 26th August 2022, Workspace 3496, Red Cliffs Victoria 3496
"I enjoy seeking new and different perspectives of the landscape when I paint, with various objects and shapes diffused in the foreground or background. Almost like seeing the view from a bird’s angle – sitting in a tree or nesting on the ground. Using various mediums like watercolour, inks, and acrylic, it helps me explore the landscapes and refine my skills and tests my ability. This also say something of my nationality and how it finds its way into my landscapes, often breaking away from the ‘traditional norm’. Finding a connection to place is important to me and socially therefore I am also involved in local art groups to continue to learn and share together as we translate what we see in front of us to create depictions of our own environments."
